Star Wars Exhibit
We went to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville this past weekend to catch the traveling Star Wars exhibit. It goes without saying that this was a must-see for us. We debated whether to take the whole gang or just have one of us take Jacob, but given that we are beginning a Walt Disney World training regimen and therefore need to build up our line-waiting, crowd-fighting, heat-tolerance, potty-emergency management, and cranky child coping skills, we decided that this should definitely be a whole family affair. And I'm so glad we did. We all had a GREAT time. Caroline was the biggest surprise. She is a bit of a fraidy cat and really hates loud noises. She also hates when creatures that are supposed to be four-footed walk around on two feet, and has been known to completely fall apart when in the presence of the Chick-Fil-A cow.
It seemed like a good bet that the Star Wars Exhibit would be chock full of (1) loud noises, and (2) costumed creatures. And it was, but Caroline had a ball anyway. She marched right up to the Stormtrooper:
And creatures like this did not phase her in the slightest:
We were never worried about R2 -- we all think he's a cutie patootie:
The kids got to build and test-drive their own robots.
And the big kids got to test-drive space cars:
Jacob, of course, was in his glory.
Here are the kids in front of the tunnel that took them onto the Millenium Falcon - wow, that was a fun ride!
We're really glad the exhibit came to the Southeast this year. We went mainly for Jacob, our Star Wars lover, but we all had a great time!

Very neat! It is nice when the whole family can enjoy the same things. My kids have no idea what Star Wars is, but they all like Sesame Street and Thomas the Tank Engine, so it is great when we can all enjoy an event together. Love your "training regimen"!
