David: You're really making a fig pizza for dinner? I thought you were kidding.
Cathy: Nope.
Almost every booth at the farmer's market had figs yesterday, and at about my 14th fig-buying opportunity, I decided to buy some figs. We had friends over for dinner on Saturday night so I made Giada's fig tart, which was mind-blowingly delicious (in fact, I think I might start brushing my teeth with almond paste instead of toothpaste). But since I lack experience with figs, I bought way too many figs, so I was looking for something else to do with the remaining figs. And that is the origin of our oddball Sunday dinner, fig pizza. It's an amalgamation of several fig pizza recipes I found online, with inevitable substitutions made due to grocery stores not carrying items they should definitely carry {e.g., spinach instead of arugula because Western did not have arugula, damn you Western! (shakes fist)}. So the final pizza contained mozzarella, red onions, spinach, goat cheese and figs. It was figtastic! I mean, figgin' awesome! Figalicious?

Looks great to me. My hubs, on the other hand, would have had D's reaction times about 10. Figs are not his thing!
